Welcome to the Walsh Exchange, the nation’s premier undergraduate international relations research conference. In 2012, a group of motivated Georgetown students came together with an idea to convene the country’s brightest young foreign policy scholars with the goal of raising the standard of international dialogue. We are proud that this tradition has flourished and is ready to begin its sixth year.
Now housed under the prestigious Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, the Walsh Exchange invites a select handful of students from around the country to visit historic DC and present their original research in foreign affairs, diplomacy, international security, human rights, and more. During their time in DC, these scholars have the opportunity to network with like minded students from across the United States, to receive constructive feedback from world-renowned panel moderators, and to take advantage of all that DC has to offer, with exclusive visits to embassies, think tanks, and government buildings.
On behalf of the entire Steering Committee and the School of Foreign Service, We invite you to apply to present at our sixth annual conference, which will be held on Georgetown’s campus in Washington, DC from March 31-April 1, 2017.
