Brendan Keenan | Co-Chair

Brendan Keenan is a member of the class of 2018 in the School of Foreign Service. An International Politics major, he is also pursuing a certificate in Latin American Studies. Originally from Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania, Brendan has found another home among the mismatched buildings of Georgetown. Outside of the Walsh Exchange, Brendan is also involved in the International Relations Club, the Student Advocacy Office, and the Global Social Enterprise Initiative, a partnership with the McDonough School of Business which aims to prepare leaders to make responsible management decisions that create economic and social value. He is excited to oversee the execution of the 6th Walsh Exchange!

William Liao | Co-Chair

Will Liao is a senior in Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service studying International Political Economy. He has been a member of the IRC since freshman year and has competed in and staffed at various Model UN conferences since his time at Shanghai American School in Shanghai, China. Originally from Taiwan, he is fluent in both Chinese and English, and has spent a good amount of time learning Japanese at Georgetown. On campus, he is also on the board of the Taiwanese American Student Association, the Chair of the Walsh Exchange, and a building manager at the Healey Family Student Center. In his spare time he likes to take naps, cook, and listen to music.

Casey Wang | Director of Events and Marketing 

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Casey Wang is a freshman in Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service planning to major in International History with a concentration in Asian Studies. New to the Walsh Exchange, she is excited to help plan this conference and encounter some outstanding undergraduate research projects this spring. Her main areas of interest include energy and food insecurity. At Georgetown, she is also involved in The Alexander Hamilton Society and the International Relations Club.

Olivia Ha Jung Kim | Deputy Director of Events and Marketing

Olivia is currently a freshman in the College and this is her first semester working for the Walsh Exchange as as the Deputy Director of Events and Marketing. Through the Walsh Exchange, she was able to expand her interests in international development, marketing, and culture. On campus, she is also involved with the International Relations Academic Programming as well as Georgetown Global Microfinance Initiative. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring and discovering new food spots, watching musicals, and just going for a walk outside.

Garrett Williams | Academic Coordinator

Garrett Hinck is a junior pursuing a major in Science, Technology, and International Affairs with a minor in French. He currently lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but also has roots in San Antonio, Texas. He is interested in the use of offensive cyber weapons tools by states and corporations as well as terrorism and technology. He is also the Executive Director of the Roosevelt Institute, a student-run think tank, and a member of the Philodemic Debate Society.

Dane Ali’Varius | Deputy Academic Coordinator

Dane Alivarius is a sophomore in Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service studying International Politics with a concentration in foreign policy and policy processes. In addition to being Deputy Academic Coordinator for the Walsh Exchange, Dane is also a member of the Roosevelt Think-tank’s defense and diplomacy branch and Georgetown’s international relations club. Dane has been active as an intern with the US Senate and currently contributes to the McCain Institute’s next generation leaders program. Dane aspires to work in the government upon graduation, acting as a staffer or in an advising capacity on either domestic and international political affairs, likely through Congress or the State department.

Elizabeth Park | Director of Media and Technology

Elizabeth Park is a sophomore in Georgetown University majoring in Government and French. As a South Korean who lived half her life in Los Angeles and New York and attended an International French School, she has been exposed to different cultural background and naturally grew to be interested in International Relations. Through Walsh Exchange, she wishes to learn more deeply about International Relations as well as promote and help execute the 6th Walsh Exchange to success! On campus, she is also involved in the Multimedia section of the Hoya and the International Relations Club. On her free time, she likes to watch and make movies, drink coffee and waste money on food.

Erica Tsai | Director of Finance

Erica Tsai is a member of the class of 2017 in the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, pursuing a double major in Finance and Operations & Information Management (OPIM) with a minor in Computer Science. She has been interested in the field of business since she was a little girl. After spending hours upon hours exploring her grandpa’s factory, she followed in his footsteps and launched her own business. Since then, she has pursued many different opportunities within the field of business, including her latest adventure of interning for Morgan Stanley in New York City where she will continue full time starting July 2017. In her spare time, she also enjoys playing piano, running, and trying different world cuisines. She looks forward to

welcoming everyone to the this year’s Walsh Exchange and hearing about everyone’s research!
